Rod Banks and Pearl Davies enjoyed their brief stay.
Mike St Pierre visited.
Chip Ogglesby spotted far birds.
Local birder, Bob, visited for several hours and returned home to do
chores.
Come back folks when you can and stay longer.
Weather:
Raptor Observations:
Dark morph Broad-wing spotted at 12:15.
At about 1:45, Dave and Linda were north of tower at the campground
entrance. They spotted 1,000+ Broad-wings just east of the road with ALL
moving NORTH. Not visible from the tower. It appears that the Broad-wings
were turning northward when approaching the Big Creek marsh. They were very
high when moving north. We suspect we missed 1,000's of Broad-wings.
Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays-8,610
Predictions:
Hoping for Broad-wings but it looks like rain.
