Weather:
Started off overcast with lightning to the north and winds coming from the
north. Around 9 30 - 10:00 am heavy rains and sought shelter. In the
afternoon winds switched to the East and skies gradually cleared. 

Raptor Observations:
Slow migration as winds switched to the east. Good number of Northern
Harriers in the morning that passed over the marsh.

Non-raptor Observations:
Bonapartes gulls seen in good numbers. Mute swans continue to dominate
marsh. 

Blue Jays - 4 388
Monarchs - 34

3 residents bald eagles, 1 adult, 2 immature. 

Predictions:
Stormy conditions, winds from the SW. Possibly another slow day.

However Saturday winds are expected from the north with average temps. of
17 C and it should be a good day for migration. Don't forget to come out to
the Festival happening this weekend! (9:00am-3:00pm).
