Just had 2 fantastic looks at the purple gallinule, at John R Park Homestead. Park in front of flower garden by homestead gates. Walk right on County Rd 50 to bridge, bird on right hand side of river, looking south towards the lake. Sneaking in and out of the thick phragmites and foraging out in the open.
