Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Andrew Sturgess

Observers: Don Sherwood, Kevin Georg, Mark Hainen, Raburn Howland

Visitors:
We had a few visitors of hardy constitution today. The weather was not for
the faint of heart.

Weather:
Another hot and muggy summer day with high humidity and southerly winds
bringing unwelcome heat to our neighborhood.

Raptor Observations:
Not too many birds on the wing but at least we saw a few that were
migratory and could be counted with confidence.

Non-raptor Observations:
Purple Martins and swallows were the most common other birds in the air.
Cedar Waxwings were hawking insects in front of us. Gulls of mixed heritage
were kettling and hawking insects too.

Predictions:
Perhaps even worse than today with excessive heat for early September.
