Just want to follow up on the post that Quinten Wiegersma made about a week ago.
We have stopped by the site several times in the past few days. Have not had any luck finding the Dickcissel but have seen an Eastern Meadowlark, Bobolink and a Savannah Sparrow. This land consists of a large area of undisturbed grassland which is ideal for grassland bird sighting. The directions that Quinten provided are great and I have copied them below. The "Dickcissel spot" is on Scotland Drive south of the 401, pretty much exactly one kilometer west of Highbury Avenue. Look for a couple of seemingly abandoned semi-trailers and many pieces of agricultural equipment, the field will be opposite to them, beside the house.
