Hi folks: This morning I led a Riverwood Conservancy sponsored bird hike, with 16 partecipants, along the lake west of Port Credit and we found a calling Fish Crow ( along with 3 other calling American Crows) at Ben Machree Park ( Lakeshore Bld, south on Pine or Maple Ave. to the Lake...listen for the "ehhh ..ehhh" calls.Other birds of note.. [ over a 3 hours period!]-2 Black Scoters (male & female near the shoreline on Waterfront trail toward Saddington Park.)- many Common Terns, many Tree Swallows and some Barn Swallows- Eastern Phoebes ( 3 at least) and Myrtle Yellow-rumped Warblers, Brown Creepers, YB Sapsuckers...Toward Rhododendron Park- Peregrine Falcon , on SE building at Lakeshore BLD & Hurontario St- many migrating Common Loons (8), Horned Grebes (20), RN Grebes (15)- Fox Sparrow at Ben Machree Parketc..etc. Cheers Luc Fazio _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
