Shortly before sunset, at about 4:55 pm, Donny Moore and I both heard the Western Kingbird singing as it flew overhead and then had it land in some trees at the back of the Jack Miner property. We then saw a bird with a yellow belly fly out from that area and back across to the Kennedy Woods property. It wasn't the greatest look but we think it was likely the Western Kingbird.
Here is a Google Maps link to where we were when the bird flew directly over us while singing. The bird that we saw fly east back across to the Kennedy Woods property flew pretty close to this spot as well. https://goo.gl/maps/tcoBeuTkNe42 Good luck to anyone looking for this bird in the morning! I have a few digiscoped photos but lost it and am currently trying to relocate. Just getting the word out. It was along the tree line behind the small woodlot of Kennedy Woods. Kennedy Woods is on Road 3 West; north of Kingsville and just east of Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary. Walk thru the trail of Kennedy Woods until you come out into a wide open meadow and the tree line where it was feeding is on the west side of the meadow.
