There is a Red Phalarope at Owen Point at Presqu'ile Prov. Park. It has been feeding in some puddles on top of the algae mat but has moved north and into the lake a bit. It is the only bird out there. The gale force winds ensure those that have gone out for a look don't stay long!
Directions 1. Take HIGHWAY 401 2. Exit at Northumberland County Road 30 exit (exit number 509)- towards BRIGHTON/CAMPBELLFORD 3. Turn South onto County Road 30 go 4.86 km and 4. Turn West (right) onto County Road 2 at lights go 0.81 km and 5. Turn South (left) onto County Road 66 (Ontario Street) go about 4 km by 6. following road around two big bends (right-across causeway-left) and it takes you right into the park. 7. Take a tabloid from the gate and the map will show you Owen Pt. Parking in the Park Store Parking lot and walk out. 8.
