Good evening, 



At about 7:10 pm I observed a Black-crowned Night Heron in a stormwater 
management pond in Guelph. I first noticed it perched in the trees, but it 
later came down into the pond to feed near a Great Blue Heron. I observed the 
bird for about 15 minutes before needing to finish my grocery store errands. 




To get to the pond from Highway 401: 




- Northbound on Hanlon Expressway 




- Turn right at Kortright Rd. 




- Turn right at Edinburgh Road S. 




If you park in the Zehrs parking lot, the pond is across Edinburgh Road at the 
intersection of Rodgers Road. An eBird hotspot for the pond can be viewed here:
