https://youtu.be/pGCqin8AmKw Hi folks The Violet-green Swallow in Thunder Bay continues to be seen. Today, it was going to a new bird box at the back of the small pond. If successful, in re-nesting, it will be possible to see it through the summer. See the video https://youtu.be/pGCqin8AmKw for salient features of the bird.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~DirectionsGet to South Water St. & Pearl St ( downtown Thunder Bay, North of the Airport) To get to Pool 6 compound. Get to SOUTH WATER ST. , past the Marina Park entrance. Turn south on Pearl st over the railways toward the lake, at the roundabout go right to a dirt road entrance that will lead you to the Pool 6 gate. The pond is 20 m on the right, the beach/driftwood 20 m on the left where a large outlet zinc pipe is. Today, it was seen going into a nest box at the back of the pond ( with C. Goldeneyes & Mallards & 1 Gadwall & 2 Spotted Sandpipers; with nearby Clay-coloured and Song Sparrows, etc.)) Thanks to Christine Johnston, who found this bird originally. She lives very close to this location. Best of LUCK
