If anyone is interested in an update, especially since this bird was only found and publicized this morning, it was still present this evening at the back edge of the pond at the location described in Cheryl's email below. It was out of sight when I arrived and I saw it on and off from 6 to about 6:40 pm. I didn't see it again after that, but it did not appear to fly away before I left at 8 pm. It was mostly just walking around foraging between the cattails and reeds and made a few short flights of no more than 30 metres at a time.
Good luck and good birding! Jeremy Jeremy Bensette - Leamington, ON I'm doing an Ontario Big Year in 2017!
