The YCNH seems to be frequenting the small pond beside 3095 Morgans Road east
of Newcastle on a fairly regular basis though it may disappear for short
periods before coming back.
It’s easy to see from the road and several of us watched it from about 11.45am
until noon.
It has a fully adult head pattern and plume but still some brown in the body
and wing feathering, suggesting a “young adult” perhaps a second year bird.

Directions: Morgans Road is between Newcastle and Newtonville, north of
Hwy.401, off Reg.Rd.2
Go north from Reg.Rd 2 on Morgans Road for 1.5km or so and 3095 is well posted
on the east side.
