A White-eyed Vireo on Rondeau Provincial Park's South Point Trail (found by
Netty Lambert), a Yellow-breasted Chat on South Point Trail (seen by James
Turland), and a White-winged Dove at 17168 Lakeshore in the Park (and
originally reported on ONTBIRDS by Steve Charbonneau) were among the
highlights of today's "Young Birders" hike.

Other highlights among the 60 species on the trip list included several
Red-headed Woodpeckers and the Blue-headed Vireos that outnumbered Yellow
Warbler sightings. There were many first-of-year sightings for all
participants. Thanks to Nature London who partnered with OFO on this event
and in particular to fellow hike leaders Cathy McCrae and Gail McNeil.

Rondeau Provincial Park is near Morpeth at the south end of Kent Bridge Rd.
in Kent County. James Turland (the Chat spotter) will be leading the daily
hikes during the Park's May 1 to 21 Festival of Flight.
