We just found a Cave Swallow flying south over Sparrow Field (at around 1330) at Point Pelee! With the moderate south wind it's likely just flying over the land somewhere between here and The Tip.
Also seen of interest today were two to three Cloudless Sulphur butterflies (at 11:30) in Sparrow Field, two Monarchs, and a large raft of various diving ducks seen from The Tip parking lot. In the fields northeast of the park I noted a number of Lapland Longspurs and American Pipits flying over with many Horned Larks. Point Pelee National Park's gate is approximately a ten minute drive southeast from Leamington in Essex County, at the end of Point Pelee Dr. Sparrow Field is about 1km north of The Tip, which is the southernmost point within the park.
