Total observation time: 9 hours

Visitors:
A few locals came up the tower today today to see what was up.
Weather:
We had N winds briefly in the morning, but switched to SW within a couple
hours of the count. Clear skies, bright sun, made for another hot day on
the tower.
Raptor Observations:
Similar day to yesterday raptor wise, mostly Sharp-shinned Hawks, with low
numbers of a variety of other species.
Non-raptor Observations:
Good dabbling duck variety on the marsh again, and 5 Redhead ducks flying
out to the lake first thing were a nice change, as well as the first group
of Mergansers flying off in the distance. The non-raptor highlight of the
day was a Dickcissel flying over in the early morning with a group of
Bobolinks. There were 3388 Blue Jays counted migrating today as well. For
the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S31668096 27 Black Saddlebags, 6
Twelve-spotted Skimmers, and 2 Green Darners were observed migrating, as
well as 77 Monarchs.
Predictions:
Tomorrow they are calling for N and NW winds! If they are right there might
just be a good movement! Mostly clear skies throughout the day.
