Today at 2:32 pm I saw and heard two Crows circling just to se east of me
from the tip of Whimbrel Point near "observation central" of today's
Whimbrel Watch. They were only about 20 meters from me and looked they
were going land on the shoreline. Before landing, a Red-winged Blackbird
began chasing them and they quickly flew nw toward the far point of
peninsula. The noticeably smaller head and bill were clearly visible. At
this point Tim McCarthy had just left and two other birders, Ava and John
Thresher were just arriving. I have no double of this identification,
having birded extensively in Florida where this species is wide-spread and
common. One more shorebird record to add to Tim's report list: 21
Black-bellied Plovers moving from east to west first spotted by John
Thresher at 2:47 pm.

Directions:
Located on Lake Ontario. Take Kipling south to Lakeshore and continue
south on Colonel Samuel Smith Drive until to reach the parking lot. Follow
the main path of the curving peninsula to the 2nd Peninsula left (with
small hill and post).
