At 1PM the vireo was feeding high in the almost bare trees, and was quiet. It
did come briefly down to the trail edge. The good news is that there are very
few birds, so if you see movement in the trees, you have likely found the
vireo. Also in the area is a Blue-headed Vireo, some nest-building
Gnatcatchers, and a noisy House Wren.
To get to Darlington Nuclear from Toronto, take the 401 East to Holt Rd. Head
south from the exit and then make a right on Energy Drive.Take a left on Park
road which is about 2km west of Holt. Go to the south parking area and walk
north up the trail to 100 feet past the exercise station. Trail was scratched
and marked with a few branches.
