Greetings birders:

A trickle of new birds has arrived, though the dam has certainly not burst, so
to speak.

The most productive location is the south end of Woodland Nature Trail, where
it is quite busy with warblers, including PALM, NASHVILLE, BLACK-THROATED
GREEN, MAGNOLIA, BLACKBURNIAN, AMERICAN REDSTART, and CHESTNUT-SIDED. In total,
at least 16 warblers species have been collectively reported, and it is likely
that this number will swell to 20+ by day's end. LEAST FLYCATCHER and GREAT
CRESTED FLYCATCHER have also been seen along Woodland Nature Trail.

There has been an impressive reverse migration of INDIGO BUNTINGS, BALTIMORE
ORIOLES, and other blackbirds at the Tip, with two RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS
putting in appearances. A CERULEAN WARBLER was briefly heard, and a LINCOLN'S
SPARROW was in a flock of 40+ WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS.

Tilden Woods Trail also has steady passerine movement, as well as a roosting
red morph EASTERN SCREECH-OWL.

A male HOODED WARBLER was just seen and heard along Shuster Trail

A male SCARLET TANAGER was just seen immediately south of the Visitor Centre.
