While our migration hotspots don't seem to be overwhelmed with birds, we currently have a number of continuing rarities that are generating interest. Some say too much interest and find the volume of posts excessive. While many are interested in the day to day status of individual birds, hourly posts may annoy more than inform. Two posts a day is probably enough for a continuing bird. If needed the delete key is effective.

Not sure if this is widespread but Sympatico subscribers to Ontbirds may be missing reports. You can still post report from a sympatico email address. Smart phone users might consider subscribing to Ontbirds with another service like gmail or hotmail. Yahoo sadly marches to its own beat. Online archives contain all Ontbird posts. One of many archives is http://birding.aba.org/maillist/ON

Finally this is the busy migration season, remember birds and birders need their space. With that in mind please take a moment to review the revised Ontario Field Ornithologists' Code of Ethics at http://www.ofo.ca/site/page/view/aboutus.ethics
