About 11:30 today, I saw a Peregrine Falcon sitting on a ledge of the
Oshawa Hospital next to the Peregrine nest box site. Given the proximity
to the box, it would seem likely that a pair will nest there once again
this year.

To get to nest site.... travel on Adelaide St W., just west of Simcoe and
turn north onto Golf St. Travel up to Alma St and just round the corner
and stop at the curb. The whole area is posted No Parking so just step out
of your vehicle and using binoculars, quickly scan the south west corner
part of the Hospital building near the top. The nest box (and the bird)
was seen on the "balcony" that also houses what appears to be a generator
or air conditioning unit.

Don't walk away from your vehicle since you are likely to get ticketed
and/or towed.... you can park at the hospital off Simcoe... about $10.....
and walk around the building or park for free about 1/3 of a mile north in
the Alexandra Park parking lot and walk down south the full length of the
park to the top of Golf St. You get to this park by turning west off
Simcoe, well north of the hospital, onto Buckingham and then south on
Midland.
