The cells are open, the berms are dry and there are many species of waterfowl present. This morning we observed over 100 Tundra Swans flying over or resting on the largest cell. Among the 200+ Mallard and 150 Canadas there were 25 American Widgeon, 15 Northern Pintail, 20 American Black Duck, 1 Ring-necked Duck, 2 Bufflehead, and 1 Common Merganser. Other migrant species seen included Killdeer, Turkey Vulture, Song Sparrow, red-wing, and grackle.
