Something rather exciting happened at Presqu'ile on this very, very cold and
dead of winter kind of day.
Here in and around Presqu'ile Bay between 1 and 3 pm on Feb. 13, we had 5 Bald
Eagles catch some ducks in the frigid cold. There were 4 adults and 1 immature
bird.
These may be the same birds that dined on a deer carcass about a week and a
half ago, to the north of here.

It looked like they either went over to Barcovan Beach or Gosport for the
night. Also, just earlier an Iceland Gull had flown by.

To reach Presqu'ile Provincial Park, follow the signs from Brighton.
Locations within the Park are shown on a map at the back of a tabloid
that is available at the Park gate.
Directions have been provided by Fred Helleiner.

And I'd say that Calf Pasture would probably be the best spot to view anything
out on, or above the water.
