Robert Secord, a friend of mine, just sent me a picture of a Dovekie via
Facebook that he photographed at Bronte Marina in Oakville on November 30th. He
was baffled on the ID, and to my surprise, it was a tiny alcid showing a thick,
stout bill, black from the bill to around the eye and down the nape, white
cheeks and throat, and black back. What a fantastic record. Sadly the bird
didn't surface to the birding world earlier, but perhaps it is still in the
area.

Picture will be in the Ontario Birds Facebook group later.

Happy birding,

-Owen Strickland
