  The Buffalo Bird Report is a service provided by your
  Buffalo Museum of Science and the Buffalo Ornithological
  Society. To contact the Science Museum, call 896-5200. Press
  the pound key to report sightings before the end of this
  report.

  Highlights of reports received November 5 through November
  12 from the Niagara Frontier Region include CAVE SWALLOW,
  GR. WHITE-FR. GOOSE, HARLEQUIN DUCK and SABINE'S GULL.

  November 12, on the Lake Ontario shore, two, possibly three,
  CAVE SWALLOWS flying eastward at Golden Hill State Park in
  Niagara County.

  In the Iroquois Refuge, November 7 through at least November
  9, seven GR. WHITE-FR. GOOSE at Kumpf Marsh, on Route 77 at
  Feeder Road. Also at Kumpf Marsh, 24 DUNLIN on the 7th and
  PECTORAL SANDPIPER, WHITE-R. SANDPIPER and a flock of
  AMERICAN PIPITS on the 8th.

  November 7, at Niagara Falls, 3 HARLEQUIN DUCKS in the
  rapids above the falls, viewed from the outer Three Sisters
  Island. November 9, below the falls, a juvenile SABINE'S
  GULL among abundant BONAPARTE'S GULLS.

  Arriving for the pending winter season - NORTHERN SHRIKE on
  Casey Road in the Iroquois Refuge, and ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS -
  two at Routes 77 and 63 in Alabama, and a single ROUGH-
  LEGGED HAWK over Cayuga Pool in the Iroquois Refuge.

  November 10, two EARED GREBE continue at the Batavia Waste
  Water Plant, along with 14 waterfowl species including
  almost three hundred of both NORTHERN SHOVELER and RUDDY
  DUCK.

  Still on the 10th, arriving TUNDRA SWANS - 8 at Windmill
  Marsh in the Oak Orchard Wildlife Management Area, viewed
  from the Albion Road tower. Also at Windmill Marsh, three
  each of CACKLING GOOSE and SANDHILL CRANE.

  Other reports this week - migrant RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at
  several locations. EASTERN TOWHEE lingering at a feeder in
  North Boston, with 20 CEDAR WAXWINGS feeding on crabapples.
  And, a PILEATED WOODPECKER in a Hamburg yard.

  With strong winds off Lake Erie, keep an eye on the source
  and the length of the Niagara River for wind driven
  rarities. The Bird Report will be updated Thursday evening,
  November 19. Please call in your sightings by noon Thursday.
