Observation start time: 09:30:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 5.5 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Bob Hall-Brooks, Jim McCoy

Weather:
Rain in the morning made for a late start to the count. Though it cleared
up a bit, there was still a cold misty drizzle that carried on for the
majority of the day. This also put a hamper on visibility; allowing us only
to see as far as the edges of the marsh. Wind was from the NW and picked up
to around 15kph.

Raptor Observations:
There's not much to say, really. Good winds were foiled by the rain and 3
Northern Harriers made their way across the marsh, at least much closer
than the birds have been these past days. A Red-tailed Hawk was seen
hunting, but didn't migrate.

Non-raptor Observations:
Nothing really was flying and most of the ducks in the marsh seemed to be
hiding as well. 10 Bonaparte's Gulls appeared around midday and carried on
quickly, along with a small group of starlings. A fair sized group of
American Crows suddenly started making a huge ruckus and rose out of the
forest where the Bald Eagle nest is, flew to the east a bit, and seemed
satisfied to stay there, again silent. See today's eBird list

Predictions:
A sunny day with low W and SW winds
