Weather:
Fog enveloped us for the first few hours, but by late morning, not even an
inkling of haze obstructed our view. The fog burned off and soon enough the
gray clouds overhead melted away, allowing us to gaze upon the shining sun
for the first time in several days. It clouded up again late, but for the
better part of an afternoon, the sky featured a pleasing mixture of white
and blue, helpful for spotting. Temperatures ranged still higher today,
topping out in the low 70s. And when there was wind, it was light and
variable.

Raptor Observations:
Lighter wind and clearer skies failed to bring much in the way of volume.
Turkey Vultures continued to do their thing. Cooper's Hawks picked up the
pace. And some stray Broad-winged Hawks joined a handful of Red-shouldered
and Red-tailed hawks pumping swiftly past. A single Merlin offered up
choice looks late, finishing off the day nicely.

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jay (12000+), Tree Swallow (30+), Chimney Swift (17), Red-winged
Blackbird (800+), European Starling (500+), Brown-headed Cowbird (15+),
Common Grackle (40+), Yellow-rumped Warbler (60+), Palm Warbler (2),
Northern Parula (2), Black-throated Blue Warbler (2), Tennessee Warbler
(2), Orange-crowned Warbler (1), Blackpoll Warbler (1), White-throated
Sparrow (20+), Horned Lark (7), Red-eyed Vireo (2), Golden-crowned Kinglet
(1), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (4), Swainson's Thrush (1), Northern Flicker (3),
Hairy Woodpecker (1), Killdeer (3), Lesser Yellowlegs (1), shorebird sp.
(6), Black-crowned Night Heron (1), Monarch (2)

Predictions:
Cloudy with highs in the low 70s and light and variable wind.
