Hello Everyone, This morning, I found a breeding-plumaged American avocet in Chatham-Kent. It was in a flooded bean field (the plants are only just visible, so the field is basically mud and water) with a good number of killdeer, one lesser yellowlegs and a couple of mallards. I first found the bird at 8:45 and it was still present when I returned at 11:00. Directions: Travel highway 3 west of Blenheim, through Cedar Springs. Turn north on Craford Rd 2.5 km along. Craford ends at Seventeenth Line.
