The Snowy Egret was present this morning at Windemere Basin in Hamilton - first found back on June 12 by Cheryl Edgecombe. I can't find any mention of it since July 3rd, so it seems to have other locations to visit. 3 Short-billed Dowitchers joined a handful of Least Sandpipers and Lesser Yellowlegs on the shorebird front.
Good Birding! Brandon Directions: Take QEW west to QEW Niagara to Eastport Drive, continue over the lift bridge, past the 4 way stop on Eastport. The entrance to Windermere Basin is hidden but it is on your right about 1km after the stop sign. If you prefer to go over the skyway bridge, exit at Woodward, make a right as you get off the ramp and woodward turns into Eastport. Entrance to the basin will be on your left a short way down.
