Since no one has posted I will just note that the Neotropic Cormorant and the 5 Fish Crows were all present today. The Cormorant seems to prefer the second half of the day and was at the edge of a large mass of Double-crested Cormorants on the dyke at Tollgate Pond at around 4:00. The Crows were at Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie around 11:00 am. They moved from the east to the west side of the estuary while I was there and were calling regularly.
Directions from Toronto to Cormorants; Take QEW to QEW Niagara. At the exit to QEW Niagara you will see a sign for Eastport Drive. Get onto Eastport Drive and it will wind its way around and over the Burlington Lift Bridge. Continue to follow Eastport Drive to the first Tollgate Pond surrounded by rocks on your right Fish Crows: https://www.google.com/maps/place/43%C2%B012'14.6%22N+79%C2%B015'55.0%22W/@43.2040419,-79.2652631,13z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0 <https://www.google.com/maps/place/43%C2%B012'14.6%22N+79%C2%B015'55.0%22W/@43.2040419,-79.2652631,13z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0> _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
