Yesterday, April 2nd, we took a trip to the Pinery.  A great egret was feeding
along the channel south of the Burley Bridge.  What a beautiful sight!
At the Visitor Centre a yellow rumped warbler posed for us in the cedar tree
next to the railing near the gazebo.  It was approx. 4 feet in front of us and
was unmistakable.   We also saw the usual - 1 titmouse, numerous tree sparrows,
nuthatches, both white and red, juncos, chickadees and downy woodpeckers.
Heard 1 red bellied calling.
There were numerous turkey vultures throughout the park.   The river is open
south of the visitor centre bridge and partially open north.  About 7 ring
necked ducks and a couple of buffleheads were on the south side and a couple of
common mergansers were north of the bridge.
There were lots of swans and ducks spread out over the corn stubble and in the
water behind the Lambton Museum.
All in all, a good day!
