While observing 132 turkey vultures streaming over Fort Niagara in less than 30
minutes today at 4:15 I observed a single Sandhill crane fly up the mouth of
the river. It was struggling to make headway in the strong SW winds and faded
inland at the Youngstown water tower. Also present was a common loon.
