My Apologies for the late report. Yesterday March 9th the Gyrfalcon was seen briefly at Lafleche Landfill at 1pm. It was on the furthest of the three poles within the landfill visible from the road. It was already positioned on the pole with a kill when I arrived at 1pm. I set up scope, could see it had only a small portion of a black feathered bird remaining in its claw. I took my eye from the scope briefly to get my camera, and when I looked back it had gone, and I never saw where it went? I waited about 20 minutes to see if it might reappear, but during that time the crows and starlings were all behaving normally, so I decided to leave.
