There was a first winter red-necked grebe in Cobourg Harbour today between 
12:00 and 1:00.  It showed no trace of red on the neck and the bill was almost 
entirely black with some yellow showing towards the base.  It was very close to 
shore where the mallards and Canada geese congregate in the east end.
