Almost all the gulls have cleared out of Haliburton with the recent snow and ice. That said, I visited the Haliburton dump late this morning and found only white-winged gulls present! There were three 1st winter Glaucous Gulls, and a single 1st winter Kumliens Gull present. All the Herrings are gone. There was also an adult Bald Eagle cruising the periphery of the dump.
The Haliburton landfill is located W of Haliburton, off Cty Rd 21, along Industrial Park Rd.
