Hi all, Yesterday at around noon a Townsend’s Solitaire was found on Hannah Road which is located just south of Bailieboro (a small town about 20 km south of Peterborough). Today it was relocated in almost the exact same spot as yesterday at 12:20 and again at 12:50. It was found in the hedge row on the west side of house number 158 Hannah Road (which is on the north side of Hannah road opposite Evertsen Rd). There are plenty of berry trees around (lots of buckthorn and several mountain ash) so the bird will likely stay around for a while. I did not talk to the property owners of 158 Hannah Rd, but there are no trespassing signs put up so please DO NOT GO ONTO THEIR PROPERTY. There were a few other birds around including a flock of 25 Common Redpolls.
Directions from the 401: Take highway 28 18 km north, and turn right onto Hannah Rd. #158 Hannah Rd is located 1.2 km east of Highway 28. Hannah Rd is the boundary between Peterborough and Northumberland county (Peterborough on the north side and Northumberland on the south).
