Observation start time: 09:15:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 6.75 hours

Official Counter: Don Sherwood

Observers: John Elliott, Jonathan Stein

Visitors:
10+

Weather:
Clear at the start, puffy white clouds wandered into the viewing area by
the early afternoon, providing us with a nice mix of white and blue for
spotting. Temperatures hovered around freezing for much of the day. The
wind was moderate and out of the southwest.

Raptor Observations:
Today only added to our recent run of strong mid-November movement. The
morning began with a bang: our first bird was an adult Northern Goshawk(!)
and in the first two hours, we added four more Golden Eagles. Then, during
the midday hours, a consistent trickle of Red-tailed and Red-shouldered
hawks grabbed our attention and kept us engaged. The flight petered out
late, though, ending with a whimper over the last few hours. But all in
all, it was another high-quality November outing.

Non-raptor Observations:
Sandhill Crane (8), Tundra Swan (75+), Common Loon (1), Horned Grebe (15+),
Bonaparte's Gull (45+), Common Merganser (8), Redhead (5), scaup sp.
(400+), American Pipit (4), Rusty Blackbird (65+), Pine Siskin (12)

Predictions:
Mostly cloudy with cold temps, moderate southwest wind and a 50 percent
chance of light snow.
