I was birding the Whitby area today from around 4:10-5:30pm today and was able
to see some interesting birds.

The Cattle egret was present from 4:10-4:20pm when I observed it on the
Carruther's Creek golf course.

Cranberry marsh was also productive with an Oregon junco at one of the feeders
on the southern viewing platform. There were 4 black-crowned night herons in the
marsh, and a short-eared owl flying over Hall's road.

Good birding,
Riley

Directions: take 401 to Salem Rd. South. Turn left (east) on Bayly to the
intersection with Lakeridge Rd. Turn right and park at the golf course and look
north. To reach halls road, continue east past the golf course and turn right
onto halls road.
