Hey folks,

Believe it or not, there are birds in Algonquin in November, and some
rather nice ones to boot! I had both waxwing and grosbeak over the Old
Airfield this morning - we will likely see more, so keep your eyes and ears
peeled! Lots of Redpolls moving through as well.

Another bird of note was a Short-eared Owl between Trout Creek and South
River flying southbound along Highway 11 yesterday, also on the move, but
nearby fields may be worth checking.

Algonquin Park can be accessed via Highways 400, 11 and 60 from the GTA or
Highway 60 from Ottawa. Check the Visitor Centre for recent sightings or
don't be afraid to shoot me or Ron Tozer an email before you arrive.

Cheers!

Lev Frid
