Here's a head's-up on an unexpected sighting of a White-winged Crossbill at our feeder this morning in north central Elgin County north of Aylmer and southeast of London.

Perhaps others are moving today across the south or will do so in the next few days.

The bird was a female plumaged White-winged Crossbill which landed on our feeder but only remained for about 15 seconds: just enough time to nail the field marks and get a couple of crappy photos.
