Today was excellent at the hawk - 63 species including a low flying Black
Vulture which was photographed at about 2 p.m.

Merlin (Falco columbarius) 1
Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) 1
Rough-legged Hawk (Buteo lagopus) 2 light morph
18 spp of waterfowl including:
Surf Scoter (Melanitta perspicillata) 8
Black Scoter (Melanitta americana) 5

Directions: Exit from the 401 at Brock St. in Whitby. Go south on Brock St.
to Victoria St. Go west on Victoria St. to Halls Road. Go south on Halls Rd
to the 2nd walkway to Cranberry Marsh.
