Species: Turkey Vulture- 244 Bald Eagle -1 Northern Harrier- 10 Sharp-shinned Hawk- 77 Coopers Hawk- 11 Red-shouldered Hawk-2 Red-tailed Hawk- 4 American Kestrel- 53 Merlin- 3 Peregrine Falcon- 1 unidentified- 1 Total Individuals: 407 Observation time: 6 hours Official Counter: Rayfield Pye Observers: G Stuart, C Van Goch, K Jennewein, J Ball, and J Skene Weather: moderate to strong North-west winds, 100% cloud cover with a few rain showers. Other birds: Great Egret- 6 (no wing tags), Brant- 1 flock, Common Loon- 9, Rusty Blackbird- 29, Common Raven-1, Monarch Migration: 4 Directions: Exit from the 401 at Brock St. in Whitby. Go south on Brock St. to Victoria St. Go west on Victoria St. to Halls Road. Go south on Halls Rd to the 2nd walkway to Cranberry Marsh. The data will be submitted to HMANA and eBird.
