Several members stopped by to assist with the count. Thank you Weather: Temp 9.0-13.2C, Cloud cover 30%-100%, Barometer 29.73-29.76 mmHg (mostly steady), Wind SS-WSW Mostly 8-12mi/hr, 12-19km/hr; High 13-18-mi/hr, 20-28km/hr; Ending 4-7mi/hr; 6-11km/hr. Raptor Observations: Good day for Lake Shore gliders with TVs toping the list. A good mix thereafter. Non-raptor Observations: A fair day for non-raptors. Canada Goose - 5, Mute Swan - 10, Mallard - 5, Dubl-crested Corm - 25, Great Blue Heron - 2, Great Egret - 4, American Coot - 15, Greater Yellowlegs - 2, Sandpiper Species - 2, Bonaparte's Gull - 5, Ring-billed Gull - 25, Gull Species - 20, Chimney Swift - 1, Belted Kingfisher - 1, Downy Woodpecker - 1, Northern Flicker - 1, Blue Jay â 4,640, Tree Swallow - 105 (many more over marsh difficult to count as they swing 6 inches over the water in and out of the lilly pad leaves.), Swallow Species - 55, Bk-capped Chickadee - 1, Carolina Wren - 1, American Robin - 10, European Starling â 1,000, Unidentified warblers - 10, Northern Cardinal - 2, Finch Species - 30, American Goldfinch - 65, Monarch Butterfly â 1. Predictions: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. High of 61F. Breezy. Winds from the SW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
