Observation start time: 06:30:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9.5 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Todd Pepper

Visitors:
We had 10 visitors today, most from local areas like Kingsville and
Windsor. Thanks to Patrick from Michigan for spending most of the day up on
the tower!

Weather:
Temperatures up to 24C, a slight breeze mostly from the SE and some clouds
in the sky made for a gorgeous day. There was some haze and low cloud at
the North side of the marsh but the clouds overhead made for good raptor
sighting.

Raptor Observations:
The first few hours of the count were slow until we started getting kettles
of Broad-winged Hawks and Turkey Vultures. By the end of the day we'd had
528 Turkey Vultures, 147 Sharp-shinned Hawks, 359 Broad-wings and a total
of 11 species.

Non-raptor Observations:
13 Killdeer and 10 Northern Flickers were seen this morning during the
flurry of non-raptor migrants. Blue Jays were again abundant, with at least
9150. Quite a few dragonflies around that the Kestrels were enjoying as a
little fast food. 19 Monarchs. See today's eBird list
http://ebird.org/ebird/canada/view/checklist?subID=S19942820

Predictions:
10km/h winds from the N and NE with morning fog and a sunny afternoon.
