Sunday a.m. spotted a duck near the platform on the east side of Cranberry
Marsh. It was flapping its wings and trying to get away but something was
holding onto its legs. Perhaps fishing wire and reeds? We saw it twice, over a
span of about 30 minutes. We phoned it in to the Toronto Wildlife Centre, but
they said that with limited resources, they could only respond if someone else
called it in to confirm it was still there. If you see it, please call
416-631-0662. Or if you have hip-waders and are near by, it is only about 20 ft
from the east platform.
