Hello all
I decided to check on the Dickcissel colony east of Wheatley this evening and I
was not disappointed. There were at least six males vocalizing at any given
time. I was treated to one singing on the hydro line above my car along the
roadside. As well, I also saw several females interacting with the males.

This field is not going to be cut down, as the owner is committed to letting it
stay natural, so if you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

The Campers Cove Field is located on the Talbot Trail, approx 2 km east of
Wheatley at Campers Cove road. It is now an eBird hotspot so you can get a map
there.

Good birding everyone
