Greetings Ontbirders

Maureen Riggs and I had the pleasure of running into the Ottawa Naturalist
Monday birding club today to look for the Lark Bunting. The bunting was found
where it has been reported from earlier on Arts McGinn Rd. The bird was feeding
mostly on the side of the road close to the grassy edge.

The Snowy Owl was seen by all just to the west of the Kingston Field Naturalist
property down at the shoreline. A total of at least 6 Wilson's Phalaropes, 1
Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs and a Wilson's Snipe were seen as well
as many Killdeer and a Spotted Sandpiper.

Directions

The Lark Bunting was seen on Amherst Island (401 take exit 593 and highway 4
to the end, turn right, then left at the ferry dock): take Concession 2 (or
Second Concession) and turn left McGinn (also known as Art McGinns road).
