Good Evening All,

As of 5:30pm this evening, the Willet was still present on 8th Line in Milton,
north of Britannia Road. It remains in a flooded field, along with Greater
Yellowlegs and about 6 Green-winged Teal.

The view is a fair ways from the road and a scope would be ideal. A small
drive on the west side of the road allows for parking, but a hike up the dirt
road might be needed for a close look.

Directions: 401 to Milton, exit at James Snow Parkway and follow JSP south to
Derry Road. Head east on Derry to 8th Line. Head south on 8th Line. Pull-off
on west side of road; look in flooded field on west side.

Regards,

Dan

Subject: Cackling Goose - Metro Toronto Zoo
Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2014 19:50:24 -0400

Good Evening,

Today I observed (approx. 1:30pm) a solitary Cackling Goose in the Rhinoceros
paddock of the Metro Toronto Zoo. The individual was feeding on the grass
amidst a group of 15 -20 Canada Geese. For the record, yes, I am sure it
wasn't a captive of the zoo!

Directions: 401 East from Toronto to Meadowvale Road. North on Meadowvale
Road and follow signs to the zoo. Admission required!

Cheers!

Dan
