At 7:55 this evening I was in the Royal Botanical Gardens parking lot on
York Road when an American Woodcock flew in over my right shoulder and
landed less than ten yards in front of me. This a place one can usually
find woodcock in early March.

Directions: from downtown Dundas (near Hamilton) take York Road out to the
RBG parking lot on the east side of the road, which is just south of the
railway bridge that crosses York Road. From highway 403 take #6 north and
take the first turn off. At stop sign, turn right and you are on York Road.
Go about 100 yards beyond the railway bridge.
