An Eastern phoebe was spotted today at the top of one of the large Sugar maple
trees at 3:50 pm at the Jackson-Gunn Tract in Norfolk county. This is the
earliest I've observed this species to date.
Directions:
The Jack-Gunn Tract is located approximately 600 meters east of Regional Road
#28 and Lower Side Road on the south side. To get there from Tillsonburg take
Highway #19 south through the towns of Eden and Stratfordville to Regional Road
#45. Turn left onto Regional Road #45, heading east for approximately 8 km to
Regional Road #28. Turn right onto Regional Road #28, heading south for
approximately 5 km to Lower Side Road. Turn left onto Lower Side Road, heading
east to the Jackson-Gunn Tract.
