Over the past several days, a couple of Snowy Owls have been fairly regular
around the Essex Sewage Treatment facility. One adult & one Immature. The
adult favours the berm/embankment around the sewage lagoon during the day. It
is also seen sitting in the adjacent fields sometimes with a few Crows keeping
it in check. I have also photographed it on top of telephone poles. The
Immature is usually hidden during the day but is seen in the brush line in
between fields around dusk. The Sewage facility is at the corner of Victoria
St. and Highway #3 in Essex. Victoria St becomes North Malden Rd at that
Corner. Travel down North Malden Rd and surrounding side roads. Jim Hunt Essex
